SEDGE TIME

Now we are coming to the end of May the fly fisher will be turning to the sedge patterns for the loughs.
Here are a few patterns that worked well last year and i have no reason to think they will not  as equally as well this year.

A few more patterns tied up this year for the web site, these are proving to be more popular than i thought.

The Mayfly Nymph

This is my version of tying up the Mayfly nymph, which has worked well for me over many years.
In a larger size using a deep water nymph hook size 2 or 4 it was tested out for me by a good friend who visited Argentina last year and had quite a few fish using it.
So why not look at the video and have a go at tying 1or 2 up.
Let me know how you get on or if you have any requests on patterns drop me a line and i will see if i can get a video done for you.
Happy wrappings
With the Mayfly season in full swing, request for my polar fritz flies have exceeded my expectations.
They have been working great on all the Loughs especially Mask.
These will also be field tested on Melvin in June as Daphnia patterns and we are sure they will be sucessfull.
Happy Wrapping
